| c r a s h e d . n e t - Controversy for the masses. |
| on December 10, 2003 at 03:07 PM nullbert rudely brung in this noise: |
| Crashed is having colo issues, so in the next month or so it might go down. Anyone have sweet bandwidth with static IPs for free? |
|
| on January 2, 2004 at 09:12 PM skye tentatively interrupted with: |
| Nope...but I got $five$ on it! |
|
| on January 5, 2004 at 12:18 PM boofer foolishly mumbled: |
| The best I can get/find is 384k. Just tell me how many IP's crashed needs. |
|
| on January 21, 2004 at 09:57 AM matt quietly slurred: |
Is anyone keeping traffic stats on crashed's interfaces?
matt modified this post on Wed Jan 21 09:59:19 2004. |

I wasn't, but I just started it up. You can view it here. I had previously been monitoring the T1 router's interface that crashed & itlifesaver hang on. You can view the graphs for that here.
Just going by the very limited data there is for crashed at the moment, it looks like crashed is responsible for a very small portion of the traffic going through that T1. I wonder if we could use that as an argument for prolonging our stay? |
|
| on January 23, 2004 at 09:46 AM nebulous rudely raged: |
| So using the scientific method, with the impossibly inaccurate sample of 1 hour, it looks like we use about 5% of their bandwidth. This was so scientific however, that I will give it a margin of error of +/- 10%... So we might actually be giving them bandwidth. In which case they should pay. |
|
| on January 23, 2004 at 10:12 AM boofer quietly interrupted with: |
| So, through nebulous, I found out how many IP's crashed uses (thanks for posting replies). I guess, I'm jus waiting for comfirmation that someone wants to move crashed to my refered location. Well, that is if ya'll are done looking at graphs and playin grab ass. |
|
| on January 23, 2004 at 10:50 AM chet tentatively rapped: |
| Where is this new location? Could you tell us more about it? |
|
| on January 23, 2004 at 11:04 AM boofer tentatively interrupted with: |
| My friend Adam's place 384k/384k Biz DSL. Just off Sully and 66. He said he'd have no problem with it. What else tou wanna know? |
|
| on January 23, 2004 at 11:13 AM nullbert tentatively interjected: |
| I think we should have a meeting about the future of crashed. I would like to hear about the terms of Boofer's offering, and physical access accomodations. I think Chet wanted to change some hardware, and I think that wouldn't be a bad idea, it could use a crapload more RAM and maybe a real big IDE instead of 4 almost big IDEs. I suppose we don't have the fastest bogoMIP rating available anymore. |
